Rob Ollett is an ex-employee of Jagex and Bigpoint. He has founded a "new kind of PC and console games publisher" following "years of planning and hard work." This new company was announced today and is known as GamesCo.

In addition to being "the first video games publisher to be founded on the Isle of Man," GamesCo is aiming to do things a bit differently. They're taking a new, "networked" approach to game development and publishing. All game development will be outsourced to "established developers" to "[reduce] the cost of infrastructure and staffing overheads that affects many game companies." The overall goal of this new company is "creating big, brilliant and engaging online and massively multiplayer games based around iconic brands and original IP," albeit that the actual creation will be outsourced.

Due to their "infrastructure," GamesCo are boasting their ability to "[create] and [launch] multiple titles at once." There are currently "several" unannounced titles in development and the first one is scheduled to be released before the year is out.
