Xsyon: Prelude Drops The Subscription

xsyon

Supposedly "due to popular demand," Xsyon: Prelude has officially become a buy-to-play title without a subscription. All previous paid players can jump in-game now without any additional fees. Additionally, Steam keys are available for all past players who want to rejoin the game on Steam.

Xsyon, a project started by Jordi Grau Davis who worked on the ill-fated Roma Victor, originally launched in 2010 in a less-than-ideal state with very little to do and armor that did nothing. The game has slowly grown into a more respectable title over the years, but I can imagine that the growing popularity in the survival genre has caused the subscription to look even less appealing to most players. Recent updates include a revised architectural system, bridges, tree houses, and more. An "extensive" farming system and an "innovative" cooking system recently added to the game's post-apocalyptic environment. In the future, revised creatures and the addition of pets are planned.
