Master X Master Overview
MXM: Master X Master is one of the most promising MOBAs of 2015. It's being developed by a big name studio and offers many innovative features including the ability to freely switch between two characters (known as Masters) and extensive cooperative PvE content. Master X Master is currently in beta testing in its home market of Korea and in China. No Western release has been announced yet, but with NCSOFT's large presence in America and Europe it should make it to our shores soon!
Master X Master Key Features:
- Keyboard Controls – not just another point-and-click MOBA. Players must use the WASD to move and manually aim all skill shots and auto attacks.
- PvE Missions – explore over 25 maps and dungeons with five difficulty settings to unlock new characters, runes, materials and earn achievements.
- Tag Team Action – chose two characters for each match and swap between them at the click of a button!
- Multiple Competitive Game Modes – chose from Combat Training (Team Death Match), Point Control (Base Control), and Ruins of the Titan (Classic 3-lane MOBA)
- Mini Games – improve your twitch mechanics by playing quick mini-games including Laser Dodging, Bullet Mode, and Racing.
- All-Star Cast – play as characters from popular NCSoft MMORPGs including Aion, Blade & Soul, WildStar, Lineage, and Lineage 2.

Development History / Background:
Master X Master is South Korean MMORPG developer/publisher NCSOFT's first MOBA/AoS title and was likely inspired by Blizzard's Heroes of the Storm. Many of the game's playable "Masters" (champions/heroes) are drawn from other well known NCSoft franchises including Aion, Lineage, WildStar, and Blade & Soul.
NCSOFT has added a few compelling features to help Master X Master stand out including considerable cooperative PvE content and the Tag Team system in which players pick two characters at the start of each match and can swap between them at will.
The Global English version of Master x Master shut down on January 31, 2018.
