The Weekly Raid: Do You Prefer To Play Mobile Games On Steam?

The PC-mobile merger is inevitable—nice little shill link for myself—and we can see the process in action by looking at the Steam storefront. Mobile games keep popping up. Most recently, World of Tanks Blitz found its way onto my recommended for you list, a game that is performing much better than I would have expected.

People play mobile games on Steam, whether they realize it or not. And those mobile games perform well, too well. I wonder, do some people just prefer PC as a platform over mobile? Is mobile itself the barrier? Or do they just not know.

I struggle to play games on my phone; I can't play Shadowverse but I sunk hours into it through Steam. Maybe it's because my mobile device doesn't give me a sense that it's a gaming platform, whereas my PC was built to game—maybe that's it.
