Amazon's New World Launch Pushed Back to Sept 28
Amazon Game Studios announced today that New World's launch will be pushed back to September 28, 2021. The game was previously set to launch on August 31st. This delay comes after a successful closed beta test which saw more than a million players give the game a try. The reason behind the delay is to implement player feedback from the closed beta as well as polish the game up a bit more. The full statement can be seen below:

This isn't the first delay for New World. The game was originally scheduled to launch in May 2020, but has since been delayed many times and the core gameplay has been redesigned a few times as well. The current iteration of the game does seem popular though, as New World surpassed 200,000 concurrent players on Steam during its beta.
