Amazon's open world MMO New World is off to an incredibly strong start hitting over 190,000 peak concurrent players on Steam and regularly hitting over 130,000+ according to NewWorldStatus. The game has servers in North America, South America, Europe, and Australia. If New World can maintain these numbers, it would easily be the most popular MMO on Steam and amongst the top 5 most popular games on the entire platform.

New World is currently in closed beta until August 2 11:59 PST and as with most other closed betas, progress will not be saved when the game officially launches on August 31, so anyone playing the beta will have their data wiped.
