Anthem VIP Demo Weekend Now Live, Login Issues Fixed
The Anthem Weekend VIP Demo is now live and, as expected, the servers were swarmed with players who can’t wait to get their hands on Electronic Art’s new sci-fi shooter. A massive playerbase is always a good thing for an MMO right? Well unfortunately, the sudden influx of players is wreaking havoc on EA’s servers and players are encountering login errors left and right.
We're adding more server capacity to the #Anthem demo right now. Hang tight while we work to get everyone into the game.

This prompted EA to increase the server capacities to try and fix the errors only to find out later that the problems were being caused by an entirely different issue and not related to server capacity at all. The issue has since been fixed for both the PC and PlayStation 4 versions of the game although the devs are still hard at work fixing issues on the Xbox One. Don't forget to watch the new VIP Demo Trailer way down below.
Turns out to not be a server capacity issue. Seems to be a different issue that didn’t come up in previous scale testing. Teams are on it... https://t.co/nnDi2xK1s6

The main issue impacting the Anthem VIP demo on PC and PS4 has been resolved. Anyone who has had an issue on those platforms should restart the game and attempt to join again. Our team is still working on fixes for some of the issues we’re seeing on Xbox One.
