ArenaNet Re-Hires Former Guild Wars 2 Developer
Over the past year, we’ve been reporting on high-profile developers leaving ArenaNet and Guild Wars 2 left and right, including the studio’s co-founder and president, Mike O’Brien. In a refreshing change of pace, today’s news piece is all about a newly hired developer. Well, technically he’s a re-hire. Let’s all welcome back Ben Arnold, who is now the new GW2 Sr. Gameplay Programmer.
In one hour, I start my first day back at ArenaNet as a Sr. Gameplay Programmer! Minecraft/microsoft was great but GW2 has a bright future, and I missed the work I was doing there.

“It’s good to be back,” said Arnold on Reddit. “Previously at ArenaNet I worked mainly on encounters in fractals/raids. [. . .] Not sure exactly what all I’m working on this time around but I can say that I will be working on content and gameplay features for GW2.”
