Ashes Of Creation Kickstarter Launches, Raises $200K In Half An Hour

Ashes of Creation's Kickstarter began today at 10 AM PDT / 1 PM EDT and it is looking like it is an instant success. Intrepid Studios is asking for $750,000 and it raised over $200,000 of that in a mere half an hour. In the five minutes that I've been watching the campaign as of writing this sentence, it has earned $17,000. That is truly insane.

Not much new information is divulged in the Kickstarter. Potential players can get a month of game time and some other digital goods for $25. Access to Closed Beta—Phase 2, mind—can be obtained for $40. In order to get in game as soon as possible, during Phase 1 of the Closed Alpha, you have to pay at least $425, granted you're one of the first 350 people to pledge towards the "Braver of Worlds" backer tier. Those who aren't lucky enough to be one of the first 350 to pledge towards the Braver of Worlds tier will have top pay $500 to get in as soon as possible.
