Ashes Of Creation Announces Alpha One Test Schedules

Intrepid Studios Creative Director Steven Sharif has just announced the schedule of Ashes of Creation Alpha One tests in his latest letter to the community. The actual Alpha One test will be preceded by three pre-tests the first of which will be happening in December.

The first Alpha One pre-test is set to begin on December 18th and will run until December 21st. The second pre-test will follow next year from February 19th to February 22nd. Both tests will be open to all Braver of Worlds and Intrepid Pre-Order Pack owners and will both be under NDA. The third pre-test will take place from March 19th through March 26th. The week-long test will be open to all Alpha One testers and official content creators with no NDA. All pre-tests will end with a full server wipe.

The actual Alpha One test will run for a month from April 6th through May 6th. It’s still unclear whether it will be under NDA and whether there will be a wipe at the end of testing.

“Prior to these testing dates, users who have Alpha One access will receive emails with their testing instructions and a known issues list, along with the testing focuses and objectives,” said Sharif. “As I said, the Alpha One for Ashes of Creation is intended to test the base mechanics of many systems. We leave much room to iterate depending on how the testing data goes. And as usual, it's important to note the UI, tutorial systems, and much of the questing will remain placeholder for Alpha One, and won't really come online until Alpha Two.”
