Black Desert Online Opens Portals To An Alternate World Called The Magnus
Portals to an alternate universe called The Magnus have opened in Black Desert Online for those looking to explore a new world and brave the challenges within it. The Magnus exists outside of the game world and comes with a brand-new storyline, its own physics-defying cities, and unique gear to obtain.
“The Magnus is a realm separate from the Black Desert world without the limitations of time and space,” said Pearl Abyss. “Players in The Magnus can travel to Abysses, where they will encounter storylines that explore the anomalies of this new world. Adventurers must overcome unique challenges with their wits, creativity, and Magnus-exclusive gear to complete missions.”
Players can enter the alternate realm through wells located in major cities around the game world such as Calpheon, Balenos, and Serendia. Upon completing all the new quests in The Magnus, players will gain the ability to fast travel between any of the large cities in the world by taking a shortcut through the realm. They’ll also be able to access and transport items and goods to and from any of the city warehouses. Completing The Magnus questline will also grant players an Abyssal Legacy skill which will allow them to combine two minor skills into a more powerful one.
Aside from a new world to explore, the latest game update also kicks off Halloween festivities with the re-opening of Marni’s Spooky Playground. Players will be able to enter the event zone until November 2nd where they’ll have the chance to take on various event quests to earn seasonal cosmetics and limited-time buffs. They’ll also be rewarded with Item Exchange Coupons by completing quests which they can then use to purchase gear enhancement items and other rewards.
