Black Desert Online Launching on Xbox One on March 4
Black Desert Online finally has a release date for its long awaited Xbox One launch and that date is March 4, 2019, though players who purchase the game's Ultimate pack can begin playing on March 1st. Pre-orders are open as of today and start at $29.99 for Standard, $49.99 for Deluxe, and $99.99 for Ultimate. While these prices are higher than the PC version, the Xbox One and PC versions will NOT be cross play compatible.
“After the enthusiastic reception of the Black Desert open beta in November 2018, our team has been hard at work making significant improvements to enhance the base game ahead of launch on March 4”, said Robin Jung, Chief Executive Officer at Pearl Abyss. “We appreciate the feedback we received from our Beta testers and the Xbox community and look forward to sharing the final experience in the coming months.”
Given the action oriented gameplay of Black Desert, I suspect the game's console launch will be a success. The game promises to deliver an optimized experience on Xbox with 4K Ultra HD support as well.
