Blizzard Will Not Discuss Legacy Servers At BlizzCon

In a forum post Blizzard community manager Ornyx stated Blizzard will not discuss legacy servers at Blizzcon; even though there have been some rumblings in the community since Nostalrius made an arresting comment earlier this month:

Blizzard's Blizzcon is on the 4-5 November, a month from now. This is the golden occasion for them to announce their plan for legacy realms, and potentially fulfil the dreams of millions of fans over the world.

But now we know, Blizzard is going to keep their mouth sealed.

I don't see Blizzard ever releasing legacy servers. Legion was an enormous success, future WoW content is planned, and unless numbers plummet—which seems unlikely—there is no way Blizzard will rub their chins and say "Maybe we should launch a Vanilla server."

Now I've got my popcorn ready because I can't wait to see what Nostalrius means by "As a consequence, if Blizzard doesn't make an announcement to honour their own core values, be sure that we will." What will those core values be.

Will you release the source code Nostalrius? We're waiting.
