Bloodhunt Is A New Battle Royale Set In The Vampire: The Masquerade Universe

Swedish development studio Sharkmob has announced that their flagship title, Bloodhunt, will be launching on the PlayStation 5 later this year. The free-to-play third-person battle royale is set in the Vampire: The Masquerade universe and features solo and trio matches with up to 45 players fighting it out on the streets, back-alleys, and rooftops of the beautifully-rendered Old Town district of Prague.

“For the first time ever, experience the thrill of vampires at war as sects clash across the city of Prague, triggered by the arrival of strike-teams from the Second Inquisition. Use your supernatural powers, weapons and wit to eradicate your enemies and deal with the hunters – all while striving to maintain the Masquerade.”

Players will be able to customize their vampire avatars and ally themselves with one of the Vampire Clans, each with its own distinct playstyles. Players will also be able to use the game’s vertical gameplay mechanics and their supernatural powers to go virtually anywhere on the map as they battle other players and AI-controlled enemies in a bid to be the last vampire standing. Best of all, the devs promise no pay-to-win mechanics.

Bloodhunt is currently available on Steam Early Access and will be officially launching on PC alongside the PlayStation 5 launch planned for later this year. Check out the official PlayStation 5 world premiere trailer below for a quick look at the upcoming game.
