Chronicles Of Elyria Explains How Combat Works In Relation To Tribes

Apparently, tribes are a big thing in Chronicles of Elyria if the seemingly endless slew of blog posts, videos, and streams are any indication. Since the concept of tribes was first announced in June, Soulbound Studios has been talking about it non-stop.

The latest addition to this growing collection of tribe-related content is Part III of the Tribe Q&A. During the hour-long live Q&A sessions the devs talk about skill specialization, new skills, and combat styles. The devs also emphasize the importance of traveling to different tribes to gain a better understanding of how these tribes fight.

“To be the most effective in martial arts, you’re going to need to travel and learn those military styles and combat styles. Not necessarily because you want to learn them yourself, but because you need to be familiar with them. Because it’s a reflex skill-based game, you need to know what kind of attacks your opponents are going to be throwing at you so you know what to defend against.”
