City Of Titans Shares Plans For The Year Ahead Along With A New Video

city of titans city outskirts bannerMissing Worlds Media takes a look at the work that went into City of Titans last year and reveals what they have planned for the Kickstarted super hero MMORPG for 2021. The post also comes with fresh new screenshots and a new dev video.

“It’s safe to say that 2020 was a challenging year for everyone. At times, it seemed like things here at Missing Worlds Media weren’t moving forward as much as we would have liked, and we weren’t able to show off as many things as we had planned. But in hindsight, (and isn’t hindsight always 20/20) a lot of big changes happened in the development of City of Titans.”

Over the course of 2020, the developers revealed the Alexandria starting zone and have made improvements to it over the next few months. The team also worked on the games Alignment and Reputations systems, the Avatar Builder, mission rewards, user interface, more avatar options, and major under-the-hood improvements. All in all, a very productive year in spite of the world coming to a complete standstill because of the pandemic.

As for the current year, Missing Worlds announced work on a Mac client that’s currently undergoing internal testing. The devs are also working on piecing together one of the major features of the game – multiplayer.

“One of the biggest design projects that is building steam is Multiplayer,” the team revealed. “This is a lot of smaller systems that need to be connected; but when they’re all together, this is what makes a game an MMO. We’ve already used our Island test map to show you some of the most basic functions with map design, a Holiday package hunt, NPC interactions, and exploding pumpkins, but now we’re ready to take what we learned there, and start applying it to the larger game world.”

Work has already started on these smaller systems which include the in-game chat system, combat, and movement.

The Old Bradford, Downtown, and Alexandria zones are also nearly complete and the team is happy to show them off in the dev update video after the cut. The City of Titans official site has also been updated with more information about the various locales in the game.

Welcome to Old Bradford and Downtown
