Sci-fi sandbox MMO Dual Universe officially opens up the new Alioth Exchange hub as the Mercury Update rolls out on the live servers. As developer Novaquark previously revealed, the Alioth Exchange offers a centralized location where players can set up shops where they can showcase and sell all manner of player-created ships, goods, and services.

“The Alioth Exchange in Dual Universe is the heart of the teleportation network between all Pioneer Zone districts and markets. It houses a wide mix of player-built constructs (limited to XS cores), advertising and selling anything from voxel libraries, ship shops, markets, racetracks, Lua scripts, and all else players choose to build and offer.”

Shoppers can navigate through The Exchange using a directory that creates “Fast-Track” waypoints to their preferred shops and listings. Each of the four halls are also marked with its own distinct shape and color which are visible from afar to aid in navigation and point players where they need to dock.

The Alioth Exchange currently offers a limited number of slots for players who want to set up their shops. Interested players can find the signup form here along with information on the requirements and rules for securing a slot.

The Mercury Update also resets talent points and introduces other game improvements including visual enhancements, LUA API revamps, and more. Players are also given access to the new Summer DAC currency that active subscribers can gift to friends to grant them one month of game time.

The update also marks Dual Universe’s second year in beta, a milestone that Novaquark is celebrating with a retrospective video that you can watch right down below. As for full release, that’s apparently just around the corner.
