EVE Online Launches New Player Guide Called EVE Academy

EVE Online is one of those games that has a very steep learning curve. The multitude of gameplay elements, choice of career paths, and playstyles can be quite daunting for new players, which is why CCP Games came up with EVE Academy.

EVE Academy is a new website that aims to guide new players through their chosen career paths in hopes of getting them off to a running start.

“In EVE Academy you will find links to four career paths representing some of the high-level objectives and gameplay styles to aim for as an Explorer, Industrialist, Enforcer (PvE) or Soldier of Fortune (PvP). Within each path you'll get skill plans, beginner ship fitting examples, and curated links to resources created by the EVE Online community.”

The website is currently in beta with basic content already available for anyone who needs help pursuing their endgame goals in EVE Online. The guide will be expanded in the coming months and will also be updated with new information as more features are added to the game. Feedback from both new and existing players will also be used to improve EVE Academy. Feedback and suggestions can be submitted on the official forums while the academy itself can be found here.
