Fallout 76 Devs Talk About What’s Coming In 2019

fallout 76 christmas tree2018 is quickly winding down to a close, in fact today’s Fallout 76 update will be the last game update this year. So what exactly do the devs have in store for the game in 2019? The dev team gives us a brief outline of what’s coming in their latest Inside the Vault dev blog.

“2018 is coming to a close, but we’re excited to share a little more with you about what you can expect in 2019. Today’s hotfix was the last planned update of the year, but we are still actively investigating and addressing issues and listening to your feedback. In January we’ll be back with more updates and news on what new content we’re excited to share with you.”

The first update of 2019 is scheduled for mid-January and will mostly contain fixes including a fix for the Lever-Action Rifle’s reload animation. There’s also fixes for perk cards and robots duplicating at the Whitespring area. There’s also a new mode coming in the first quarter of 2019 which will let players work together without PvP restrictions.

The devs will also be making changes to how the patch notes are written when the new year comes around. “We understand that sometimes the patch notes themselves aren’t enough, and you want to know why we’re making certain balance changes or adjustment,” says the devs. “Beginning in 2019, patch notes will include some brief thoughts from our developers that hopefully gives the community more insight into the changes we’re making and why.”

And, to celebrate the holiday season, the devs are asking players to show off their most festive Fallout 76 screenshots on Instagram and Twitter using the hashtag #Holiday76. The team will be posting their favorites on the next Inside the Vault post which falls on Christmas Day.
