Fantasy Battle Royale Spellbreak Will Get Its First Seasonal Content And A New Deathmatch Mode

spellbreak heroes keyart bannerSpellbreak, Proletariat’s recently-released fantasy battle royale game, will be getting its first seasonal content update next week called Prologue: The Gathering Storm. The update will roll out on October 22nd with the new Chapter System and a new Deathmatch mode called Clash.

According to the latest press release, the Chapter System will be the developers’ way of delivering new story content through weekly quests starting with the upcoming Prologue chapter. Clash mode on the other hand, will pit three teams of three players against each other in a race to reach the required score.

In addition to new content, the update will also add new 3-point Talents: Vigor which grants bonus health, Ambidextrous which will allow players to use a passive class ability on their offhand gauntlet; and Foresight which reveals nearby players on the minimap and shows future shrines and circles. There’s also new and reworked consumables including one which will significantly affect how the game is played.

Lastly, the update will also mark the start of Halloween celebration in the game. The Hallowed Eve event will feature new Halloween-themed outfits, artifacts, emotes, badges, cloudbursts, and afterglows.

Spellbreak launched on September 3rd and is available for free on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. Don’t forget to watch the new press accolades trailer below.
