Genshin Impact Is Getting An Anime Adaptation From Demon Slayer Studio Ufotable
Considering how popular Genshin Impact is, it’s only a matter of time before it gets its own anime adaptation. That time has now come as HoYoverse reveals that it’s employed the help of Ufotable, the animation studio behind the Demon Slayer and God Eater anime series, to help bring the popular gacha MMORPG to a new medium.
Not much is known about the upcoming anime adaptation except that it’s going to be a long-term collaboration between Ufotable which could mean that we’re going to be looking at multiple seasons if it turns out to be a TV show (it could be an OVA). It’s also unclear whether it will follow the game’s storyline which or will be a spin-off story revolving around the adventures of both the twins, Aether and Lumine, who are shown together at the end of the
For now, you can catch a preview of what the game will look like as an anime show in the three-minute trailer, featuring familiar locales in Teyvat including Mondstadt, Dragonspine, and the Statue of the Seven. The trailer closes out with a shot of Aether and Lumine holding hands and another fly through of some Mondstadt ruins.
As with most adaptations, the Genshin Impact anime will undoubtedly result in a surge of new players that will send the game to new heights of popularity.
