Genshin Impact Previews Version 2.8 ‘Summer Fantasia’ Coming Later This Month
HoYoverse (formerly miHoYo) is sending Genshin Impact players to a tropical island this summer with the release of Version 2.8: Summer Fantasia later this month. The update will open the gates to the new Sumeru region, a lush tropical paradise with towering cliffs, grassy meadows, giant flowers, thick rainforests, and mysterious glass structures dotting the new zone.

The update will also feature the debut of Shikanoin Heizou, a brilliant but carefree detective working for the Tenryou Commission in Inazuma. Heizou is a four-star Anemo Catalyst and the first-ever melee Catalyst in the game.
