Grimm: Dark Legacy Survival Game Announced

The new "networked" publisher behind Titan Siege's western release, GAMESCO, announced the other day that they will be publishing an "online-only, free-to-play" game called Grimm: Dark Legacy later this year. Yes, Grimm like the TV show. The title will be developed by Artplant, the company behind Battlestar Galactica Online, Block N Load, and the as-of-yet unfinished Entropy.

Grimm: Dark Legacy will be "played exclusively online," meaning there will be no single-player mode. Like many other survival games, it will feature "tactical survival combat," an open world to explore, and the option to play cooperatively. It will also feature "mission-based gameplay." However, combat will be an "integral" part of the game and players will have a similar arsenal to that of that of the TV show available to them.

GAMESCO CEO Rob Ollett had the following to say about the announcement.

The richness of the Grimm universe lends itself perfectly to becoming an incredible gaming experience and it’s an honour to be able to make this a reality. Creating a game based on the Grimm TV series is a perfect demonstration of our ambitions as a new type of networked video game publisher, matchmaking the great development talent at Artplant with this rich and creative license from Universal Partnerships & Licensing.

You can find more information on the official website. No screenshots or gameplay videos have been revealed as of yet. The game is currently scheduled to release "mid-2016."
