Obsidian Entertainment and Xbox Game Studios have announced the official launch date for their Honey I Shrunk the Kids-inspired co-op survival game, Grounded. After two years in Early Access, players will officially be able to start their tiny adventures in the full release version on PC via Xbox Game Pass and Steam and on the Xbox family of consoles on September 27th.

“The world is a vast, beautiful and dangerous place – especially when you have been shrunk to the size of an ant. Explore, build and survive together in this first person, multiplayer, survival-adventure. Can you thrive alongside the hordes of giant insects, fighting to survive the perils of the backyard?”

The full release version will come with a complete storyline, Steam achievements, new environments and biomes, more insect types, and new crafting recipes, along with several new features and game improvements.

Grounded is currently priced at $29.99 on Steam although it’s still unclear whether the price will change once the game transitions to full release.
