Legends of Aria sprung back to life as Legends of Aria Classic this weekend with a surprise open beta test without the controversial blockchain features and a pre-2019 ruleset.

So far, the playtest has logged an all-time peak of just 219 players, although there’s a chance that those numbers might increase after launch with no server wipe hanging over players’ heads. There was also a server crash shortly after the playtest began which Citadel Studios promptly addressed. At this point, there’s probably no need to extend the playtest with official launch just a few days away.

Official launch is slated for May 9 with free 30 days of game time for everyone. Once the month is up, players will need to pay a monthly subscription fee of $9.99 to keep playing. In the meantime, there’s still time for you to check the game out before the open beta test ends at 9 p.m. PST tonight.

Citadel Studios is also asking testers to provide feedback via this suggestion box.
