If you’ve been looking to try Ghost of Tsushima but would rather not pay $70 for the full game, then you’ll be happy to know that a standalone version of the game’s popular Legends multiplayer mode will be coming out next month for just $19.99 with a full game upgrade available for an additional $40 for the PlayStation 4 version and $50 for PlayStation 5.

Ghost of Tsushima: Legends will be launching with a new competitive game mode called Rivals, where two teams fight off waves of enemies while they try to disrupt the opposing team with special items.

“First, today we’re excited to reveal Rivals, an all-new mode coming to Ghost of Tsushima: Legends on September 3 (including new Trophies and cosmetics!). In Rivals, two teams of two will compete to defeat waves of enemies. With each defeated foe, you’ll collect Magatama that you can use to harm the other team. For example, you can spend Magatama on Shades to block your opponents’ purchases, Curses (health drain, exploding bodies, etc), Hwacha fire, and more. Once you’ve spent enough Magatama, you’ll unlock Final Stand waves. Complete these before the opposing team to win!”

Ghost of Tsushima: Legends arrives September 3 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The Rivals game mode will also be coming to the main game alongside the standalone’s release. More information can be found on developer Sucker Punch Production’s official site.
