New World Delays Fellowship & Fire Season Due To A Last-Minute Issue

New World’s first season, Fellowship & Fire, has hit a snag right just before its release and has now been delayed indefinitely. The team says that they discovered an issue during the final rounds of testing that will need to be fixed before they can roll out the update and kick off the open-world MMORPG’s inaugural season.

“Our team is working diligently to address the issue and deliver this anticipated release as soon as possible, at the quality bar it deserves,” Amazon announced this weekend.

“Sorry y’all. This is not something we wanted to do, but it’s necessary,” tweeted Senior Producer Katy Kaszynski. She also announced upcoming server merges and that character transfers from the fresh start servers will open soon after the launch of Fellowship & Fire.

Yes, once Fellowship & Fire is released, we will open Fresh Start worlds for xfer out soon after, and there are world merge plans that will be announced too.
