New World Is Running A Weekend Stress Test In Preparation For Their August Preview
Amazon Game Studios is currently running a New World weekend stress test to make sure that the servers are stable, secure, and ready for the New World Preview closed beta this August.
“We have two critical test windows planned for Friday, 7/31/2020 at 6PM-9PM PT, and Saturday, 8/1/2020 at 1PM-4PM PT. If we are successful in collecting the needed server data during those testing windows we will announce a 24-hour closure notice before servers are taken offline.”
The “Density Test” is open to all Alpha players and anyone who pre-ordered the game from Amazon. Players who pre-ordered the game on Steam can login through the New World – Confidential Test that should now be available in their library. Amazon says that a number of lucky players who signed-up for the beta before July 9th will also be getting invites.
Players can login and play anytime they want but Amazon requests that they do so during the scheduled hours for maximum impact. And, as you might have guessed from the “confidential” tag on Steam, the test is covered by an NDA so remember to keep any info to yourself for the time being if you do get in.
