Amazon Game Studios is keeping up the barrage of New World trailers with less than a week to go until the survival MMORPG launches on PC. The new trailer is the final video in the Legends series and gives players another glimpse at the mysterious world of Aeternum before the game officially comes out on September 28.

As for the launch itself, it’s expected to be one of biggest MMORPG launches in recent years and Amazon is feeling the pressure to deliver the best game that they can, especially with the cancellation of multiple Amazon original games over the past few years, Crucible, Breakaway, and the Lord of the Rings MMO among them.

“Only ship when you’re ready,” Amazon Games VP Chistoph Hartmann told GamesIndustry.biz. “That’s why we had so many delays on New World, we really wanted to make sure that this time we get it right.”

“[. . .] Once we deliver a big hit, which I think New World will be, we'll just get even more support because we've proven ourselves,” he added.

Hartmann is also optimistic that New World’s launch will “show what Amazon Games is capable of” and will pave the way for future games, including Lost Ark.

“Eventually, we'll get judged by our successes. I really strongly believe in -- and this is similar to the way I built 2K -- the holy grail is to have owned IP, internal studios, and you don't ship things until they're really ready,” Hartmann said. “I'd rather we do fewer titles and do them right rather than do too many. We're taking a lot of smaller bets and taking risks on them, and then doing our big ones and working on them until the piece of art is right. That's what we want to be known for going forwards.”
