New World Rolls Out ‘Into The Void’ Update And New Void Gauntlet Weapon
New World’s highly-awaited Into the Void update has officially dropped into the live servers, and with it comes the new Void Gauntlet weapon and its associated Decay and Annihilation skill trees.
“The Void Gauntlet has manifested in Aeternum. Manipulate the powers of the Void to support your allies and debilitate your enemies with this magical damage/support hybrid weapon. It’s the first weapon to scale on both Intelligence and Focus, making it a great pairing with the Life Staff and other magical weapons. Adventurers will be able to progress through two weapon mastery trees, allowing the player to manipulate Void magic in different ways.”
As revealed earlier this month, the Annihilation tree focuses on dishing out the maximum amount of damage at close range, while the Decay tree allows players to heal allies and apply debuffs to enemies.
The massive update also introduces a ton of new content and changes. These include improvements to the starter zones, new faction missions, new enemy types, more streamlined main story quests, and a boost to run speed when on roads. PvP gameplay will also be getting a few major tweaks, including reduced durability loss during PvP, the addition of luck and luck gathering bonuses when flagged for PvP, and decreased faction change cooldown.
Players can also look forward to a long list of combat, weapon balance, and bug fixes. Currency gained from Expedition bosses has also been significantly increased, starting at 25% at Starstone and all the way up to 100% for endgame Expeditions. The hefty release notes can be found on the New World official site.
Meanwhile, several players have reported missing items following the update’s release, specifically harvesting gear. Amazon says that they’re aware of the issue and are working to fix it as soon as possible. Stay tuned for updates.
