Grinding Gear Games will be running a series of in-game events in Path of Exile this month starting with Mayhem on November 4th. The event will run for 10 days and will bump up the game’s League modifiers for the ultimate challenge.

“The Mayhem event takes classic Path of Exile league modifiers from Anarchy, Invasion, Breach, Ambush, Torment, Harbinger, Delirium, and Scourge and pushes them to the extreme,” Grinding Gear explained. “In each area you'll encounter one of the following scenarios: 20 Rogue Exiles, 20 Strongboxes, 20 Invasion Bosses, 10 Breaches, 20 Tormented Spirits, 20 Harbingers, a Mirror of Delirium, or enemies that have a chance to spawn Beyond Demons when slain close to each other. Each area in Wraeclast will have one of these mods, along with two mods from a pool of mods that increase the difficulty of monsters in the area. The mod that an area has will change every hour.”

Grinding Gear will also be bringing back the Endless Delve event on November 14th with a big change to how the event’s ladder system works. Instead of requiring competitive players to participate in the event for the entire week that it’s active just to maintain their ladder standing, this year’s event will implement a threshold which will store the position of players who reach a specific depth first.

“Players compete to get to this depth, and can then spend the rest of the time in the event pushing as far as they'd personally like to go (and to unlock level-gated random microtransaction awards),” the studio said.

Delirium Everywhere kicks off on November 21st and will be shrouding almost every endgame and campaign zone in permanent Delirium fog. The density of the fog will range from 10% to 100% and will scale depending on the zone’s recommended level.

“This way, some lower level encounters won't be impossibly difficult and higher level encounters won't be incredibly easy. This has all the usual effects — monsters getting buffed, new monsters spawning, reward bars filling with kills, and Simulacrum splinters dropping. To avoid spam-refreshing areas being the best strategy, each area always has the same Delirium percentage, and Delirium reward types are randomised each time they drop,” Grinding Gear said.

Like previous versions of these events, players will be able to earn a new set of Demigod rewards by taking them on in Hardcore Solo Self-Found mode. For this year, however, Demigod rewards will also be awarded to players and groups who participate in Standard, Standard Solo Self-Found, and Hardcore, although only the top six players for each of the versions will be eligible for the rewards.

Players will also get two guaranteed Mystery Boxes instead of just one when they reach level 50 in at least two events. The first Mystery Box will be awarded upon reaching level 50 in an event and the second when they reach level 50 in the second event.

Event and reward details can be found on the Path of Exile official site.
