Pixel Piracy Developer Vitali Kirpu Is Making A Survival Game Called Ragnorium

Vitali Kirpu, one half of the original Pixel Piracy team, posted his latest game Ragnorium to Steam Greenlight yesterday. Ragnorium is a 2D, side-scrolling survival game set in "a dark claustrophobic world with 300 other players." Players are tasked with staying alive and rebuilding civilization "by capturing outposts during a zombie apocalypse."

Like many other survival games, players begin with almost nothing. They spawn in with naught but "their underwear and a plastic knife." From there, they must loot all of the items they need to survive from the environment. Once they are on the path to survival, players can craft, build bases, use vehicles, and take part in clans.

The finished version of the game is scheduled to launch later this year and will allow players to host their own 300-player servers. If you would like to try the game out now, you can grab the demo from the official website and play a "very stripped version of the game" on one of three official servers that are currently being hosted by the developer.
