Prosperous Universe Will Be Offering Monthly Subscriptions Soon After Early Access Launch

Indie sci-fi MMO Prosperous Universe will soon be offering monthly subscription packages to help bolster the game’s dwindling development fund. According to the indie developer simulogics, funding for the game will run out by next year hence the decision to offer a monthly subscription.

“[. . .] A switch to the previously announced monthly subscription model has become a necessity,” says the studio. “Rest assured that PrUn will remain free-to-play, as promised, for anyone who does not want to upgrade to PRO!”

1-month, 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month subscriptions will be offered with the 3-month sub priced at €21 or around $25. The switch to a subscription-based model will happen soon after the game’s early access launch which will be preceded by the ‘Ignition’ update that will introduce shipbuilding into the game. The developers have also announced a full wipe happening in early 2021. Specific dates have yet to be announced.
