Battle Carnival is an upcoming character-based FPS set to begin Alpha testing in Russia later next month; a game we only know about thanks to MMOCulture. Developed by Korean studio Zepetto, the game will be published by GameNet in Russia. No word on whether or not it will appear in English some time in the future.

There are a number of mercenaries to choose from, each with their own personality and apparent playstyle à la Overwatchone looks like Jimi Hendrix. You can view all of the heroes by visiting the site, only available in Russian; keep Google translate handy.

According to MMOCulture there will be 7 game modes and twenty-six maps, and 11 characters will be available at the start of alpha testing.

I've included two trailers below. Stay tuned for more info as it releases.

Sean's Take: With little information available there's not much to say, yet. I am surprised that Battle Carnival is developed by a Korean company but will be releasing solely in Russia. It shows that developers and publishers are carefully considering to what extent they publish for the best possible return. I have my doubts we'll ever see Battle Carnival in English, but I've been proven wrong before.
