Sega Opens Phantasy Star Online 2 Closed Beta Signups In North America

Back in June, Sega made an announcement at E3 that Western gamers have been dying to hear for eight years: Phantasy Star Online 2 is finally heading to the US! The long-awaited fantasy MMORPG won’t be coming out until Spring next year but closed beta signups are now open for North American players through the Xbox Insider program.

“Beginning today, players in the United States and Canada can sign up for the Closed Beta Test through the Xbox Insider Program to secure a spot and receive special rewards! In Phantasy Star Online 2, you are a member of ARKS, a task force dedicated to exploring numerous planets and protecting the universe against a malignant force called the Falspawn. Embark on a never-ending assortment of missions with fellow operatives and experience unparalleled action RPG combat, completely free to play.”

Unfortunately, the closed beta will be exclusive to Xbox One owners. Although PC users can still register for early signup on Windows 10.
