Spellbreak Will Introduce Story-Driven Quests Alongside Its Steam Launch Later This Month

spellbreak art lightning gauntlet bannerLike most battle royales, Spellbreak is focused more on the competitive nature of the game rather than the lore behind it. That’s all going to change on December 15th when developer Proletariat introduces story-driven quests that will help expound on the game’s lore over a 12-week period.

“The Hollow Lands is in an ever-changing state of ruin thanks to the Fracture and the resulting Spellstorm. Racing against time, the Order of the Vowbreakers seeks invaluable artifacts that may hold the secret to pushing back the Spellstorm and reclaiming the Hollow Lands. But these artifacts are contested prizes and enemy Vowbreakers are vying to get their devious hands on them.”

The update will feature weekly world changes and the addition of new NPCs as each chapter of the storyline unfolds. According to the official press release, the update will also coincide with the game’s launch on Steam and the developers are expecting to see a flood of new players from Valve’s game distribution platform.
