forspoken logo black bg bannerSquare Enix’s Project Athia is now known as Forspoken following the game’s official title reveal during yesterday’s Square Enix Presents Spring 2021 presentation. Little is known about the game up to this point except that the upcoming game will be a “narrative-driven adventure set in a beautiful yet cruel world.”

Square Enix also revealed that Ella Balinska, who played Jane Kanno in 2019’s Charlie’s Angels, will be lending her voice and performing motion capture for the game’s main character, Frey Holland.

“The development team has been working super, super hard to create this remarkable journey and it’s been incredibly exciting to be a part of it,” said Balinska. “Frey is a character I immediately connected with when this project was first brought to me and I’ve had so much fun working with the team to bring her character to life in performance capture and voice recording sessions.”

The

reveal video shows Frey hiding from a massive dragon in what looks to be the ruins of The White House. After the title reveal, she is then shown using her super-human abilities and flashy acrobatics to traverse various wilderness environments.

Forspoken will be arriving in 2022. You can check out the full video below.
