The Striker Awakens In Black Desert Online, PK Karma Loss Doubled
The Striker Awakening has just gone live in the Western version of Black Desert Online bringing with it a new set of skills and adding a new level of awesomeness to the hard-hitting Striker class. Kakao Games explains in a recent press release:
“The Striker reaches a new level of mastery over the martial arts, gaining access to a wider range of close-ranged techniques. With this latest Awakening, Strikers level 56 and above will be able to use the Gardbrace weapon, famed for its ability to temporarily produce a copy of its wielder and double the onslaught of attacks in battle. Also enhancing the Striker’s combat are fire elemental skills, as well as throwing moves like Hell Break and Infernal Destruction.”
To celebrate the Striker Awakening release, the drop rates for Black Stones, Crystal Shards, and Ancient Relic Stones has been increased until July 12th. Aside from the Striker Awakening, the latest patch also includes a new level 50 Battle Arena and new titles for hunting, along with a number of changes to classes, items, monsters, quests, and the UI. In addition, the update also doubles the Karma lost when PKing from 60,000 to 120,000. The change has sparked a slew of less than stellar remarks on the official forums and on Reddit saying that the doubled Karma loss was “killing the open world PvP.”
