Diablo 2’s David Brevik Joins The Torchlight Infinite Team As Consulting Producer
The Torchlight Infinite team has just gotten a prominent new addition as Diablo 2 creator David Brevik hops on board as consulting producer for the new Torchlight game. As consulting producer, Brevik will be providing invaluable advice to the game’s developer XD Games in the lead up to the game’s official launch next month and beyond.
“Today, we are honored to announce that [David Brevik] the creator of the Diablo series, has officially joined the team of Torchlight: Infinite as the consulting producer,” tweeted XD Games. “His expertise and input from a gamer’s perspective will help Torchlight grow better in [the] future!”
“Together we are going to make the best hack-and-slash game yet. [...] Excited to help out! It’s going to be fun!” Brevik replied.
Torchlight Infinite is now in closed beta testing and is scheduled to launch into open beta on both PC and mobile on October 12th with full cross-play. The game was initially announced as a single player game but it looks like the developers have recently decided to add cross-platform multiplayer as indicated on the game’s Steam page.
