Tree Of Savior To Add RNG "Goddess' Blessed Cubes" For Cosmetics
In a move that has already made some players angry, IMC Games announced today that they will be adding RNG "Goddess' Blessed Cubes" that contain any of a selection of cosmetics that are chosen by the company. The items contained within the Cubes will change over time, giving players a different selection of items.
On its own, this isn't too bad. However, IMC Games "[plans] to start releasing most new costumes and hair accessories exclusively through them." The company also plans to remove several premium costumes that are currently available in the TP Shop, making them available exclusively in the Exchange Shop instead. How does the Exchange Shop work, you ask? When you purchase Cubes and open them, if you get an item you don't want or already have, you can exchange it for Exchange Shop points, which can then be used to purchase other items that are available on the Exchange Shop.
Of the many opinions that are flying around at present, the most prevalent seems to be that it would have been better if new items were affected going forward. Retroactively removing items from the TP Shop and forcing players to purchase Cubes for any chance at obtaining them is something that has angered a decent chunk of the game's remaining playerbase.
