Upcoming Space Sci-fi Strategy MMO Infinite Fleet Gets Its First Cinematic Trailer

infinite fleet battleship bannerPixelmatic has just released the official cinematic trailer for the in-development space sci-fi strategy MMO, Infinite Fleet. The trailer shows off the game’s 80’s anime-style graphics and Macross/Robotech-inspired fighters and battleships.

“Explore a vast procedurally generated galaxy in which the narrative is directed entirely by you, the players. In Infinite Fleet, you are a commander within the United Sol Federation Combined Fleet, a military organization tasked with defeating the merciless Atrox alien threat. Change the entire destiny of humanity by building and customizing your fleet, securing territory, traversing the deep recesses of space, and joining forces with your friends to turn the tide of the war.”

Aside from showcasing the game’s visuals, viewers will also get to hear voice overs from veteran voice actors such as Attack on Titan’s Jonah Scott, Nier: Automata's Kira Buckland who voiced 2B, and Dragon Ball Z’s Brian Drummond the iconic voice behind Vegeta. You’ll even get to hear Drummond shout “It’s over 9000!” an iconic line from the anime series.

The Infinite Fleet alpha tests kicked off earlier this month giving randomly-chosen backers a chance to experience the game first hand. Alpha testers are chosen from the pool of backers through a regular raffle which means that backing the game isn’t a guarantee that you’ll get into the first alpha test. Beta is slated for later this year.

Infinite Fleet is being developed by a team of veteran developers that have taken inspiration from a number of popular sci-fi games, including Homeworld and EVE Online. You can check out the full trailer below. More information can be found on the Infinite Fleet official site.
