Valve Reveals DOTA Card Game

Valve, the studio behind Half-Life, Portal, Counter-Strike, and the Steam platform, just revealed their latest game during the Dota 2 International World Championships.

We're incredibly short on details, but we do know the game is called Artifact and that it is a card game based on the Dota franchise. All we have to work with so far is a brief teaser trailer (embeded below) and an official twitter profile.

Feedback so far has been overall negative. The official YouTube video has a poor like/dislike ratio as of this writing. A few choice comments I found telling:

willoftheboss V: i remember when Valve was a leader that created trends, not followed them. Sad!

itshoax: so this is what you guys been working on instead of L4D3 OR HL3? BOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Fabry: You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain... RIP Valve

Ouch. More updates as the story develops!
