After being delayed by a few months, Warhammer fans can now begin cleansing the Hive City of Tertium of the Chaos god Nurgle’s followers as Warhammer 40K: Darktide officially launches on PC. The co-op shooter is Fat Shark’s latest addition to its Warhammer series of games and features the same gameplay loop as Vermintide and Vermintide 2 but with ranged weapons added for every playable class.

“In the depths of the hive, the seeds of corruption threaten to turn into an overwhelming tide of darkness. A mysterious and sinister new force is seeking to take control of the entire city. It is up to you and your allies in the Inquisition to root out the enemy before the city succumbs to Chaos. As Tertium falls, Rejects Will Rise.”

Players can choose from four classes: Zealot, Veteran, Ogryn, and Psyker, all of which have access to multiple weapon types to suit various playstyles and regenerating shields. The game promises fast-paced shooter action as players take on hordes of AI-controlled enemies as they work together to complete mission objectives.

Warhammer 40K: Darktide is now available on Steam, Microsoft Store, PC Game Pass, and GeForce Now with a $39.99 price tag and will also be making its way to the Xbox Series X|S sometime in the future. Details on the console launch to be shared soon.
