The second phase of the World of Warcraft: Dragonflight pre-patch is now live, giving players access to the Drachtyr Evoker, a new race/class combination that ties in with the expansion’s narrative. Phase 2 of the pre-patch also opens up the Forbidden Reach zone in the Dragon Isles where players can begin leveling up their Drachtyr Evokers in preparation for the expansion’s release later this month.

“Created by Neltharion the Earth-Warder, the essence of dragons was combined with the adaptability of the mortal races to create an elite soldier capable of switching from a draconic form to humanoid form. Long in a magical stasis, they are now awakening to a new threat within the Dragon Isles. It is in the Forbidden Reach that the Dracthyr Evoker will start their journey to reclaim their fractured memories and face a new reality.”

Primal Storms have also popped up all over Azeroth as part of the Tempest Unleashed pre-expansion event. As part of the event, players will be able to take on elemental lords and elementally enhanced mobs with new abilities and higher levels than their normal counterparts.

“Defeating these elementally enhanced enemies can create additional hazards, but to earn Primeval Essence and weaken the protective barrier surrounding these elemental lords, you must press on,” Blizzard explains. “Strike once their defenses are depleted, and defeat the elemental lords to earn powerful loot, and even more Primeval Essence for your trouble.”

“Collect Primeval Essence from primal storms and spend it to earn a full set of item level 252 armor for your class and spec, the Bag of Furious Winds toy, and the Primal Stormling battle pet,” the studio adds. “During this event you can also obtain the ‘Against the Elements’ Feat of Strength, and the Unstable Elemental Confluence heirloom trinket.”

The Winds of Wisdom experience buff is also now in effect and the Shadowlands expansion has been moved to Chromie Time. As for Dragonflight, the expansion is set to go live on November 28th, officially opening up all of the Dragon Isles zones to all players and characters regardless of their chosen race and class.
