World Of Warcraft Nerfs Epic Gems And Improves Battle For Nazjatar With A Series Of Hotfixes

world of warcraft goblin scroll bannerBlizzard Entertainment has released a series of small hotfixes to iron out a few kinks and balance issues that have come up in World of Warcraft with the release of the Rise of Azshara update last week. One of the most notable changes is the reduction of the secondary stat reward of epic gems from 60 points down to 50 points. According to Blizzard, “The power increase of Epic gems over Rare gems is too large, putting players in situations where the right choice is to use a much lower iLvl item with a socket over a Titanforged upgrade.”

The hotfixes also feature minor changes and improvements to the Battle of Nazjatar PvP event that should address the issue of unbalanced faction numbers. “It should now become active more often, while still ensuring that there are mix of Horde and Alliance players present,” explains the devs. In addition, more Victory Points will now be awarded to factions that control more capture points during the event much like Battle for Gilneas or Arathi Basin.

There’s also the usual round of bug fixes, improvements, and tweaks. You can check out a detailed list of hotfixes and changes on the World of Warcraft official site.
