World Of Warcraft Shadowlands Is Now Officially In Beta

world of warcraft venthyr preview bannerThe highly-awaited World of Warcraft Shadowlands expansion is now officially in Beta. One of the main differences between the Alpha and Beta builds is that players can now choose a Covenant to join. A representative from each of the four Covenants can be found in Oribos with information about each Covenant’s signature and class abilities as well as a preview of their mount and armor sets.

New legendary powers have also been introduced for several class builds, including Demon Hunters, Paladins, and Windwalker Monks. Gladiator mounts have also been made account-wide which means that all characters in the account will be able to use the coveted mount.

“Gladiator mounts have long served as one of the most prestigious rewards in all of World of Warcraft. This is due to the considerable time, effort, and skill required to earn one,” said Blizzard in a recent post on the forums. “In the past, we felt that prestige should be reserved to the character that earned a Gladiator mount, as this best demonstrated your expertise with that particular class. [. . .] Players’ preferences have often evolved with regard to the class they like to play most. So, beginning in Shadowlands, all Gladiator mounts, including those from previous seasons, can be used by all characters across the account the mount was earned on.”
