WW2 Shooter Vanguard: Normandy 1944 Has Dropped Into Steam Early Access Over The Weekend

vanguard normandy 1944 iron sightStep into the boots of an Airborne paratrooper or a German Wehrmacht in Vanguard: Normandy 1944. The squad-based “hardcore” World War II shooter from indie developer Pathfinder games has just launched into Steam Early access over the weekend to mixed reviews.

“Vanguard immerses players into the intensity of close-quarters infantry combat with its Raid game mode, where every life matters. Spawn with your squad to assault or defend the objective, where tactics and communication are key. Utilise historically accurate weapons and play across 3 maps, each with its own day & night lighting, creating differing gameplay experiences.”

Vanguard: Normany 1944 was initially called Traction Wars and was funded by a successful Kickstarter campaign in September 2018 that managed to raise over $12,000 for the game’s development. The game features a 24-player squad vs squad capture the objective mode set in historically accurate locations across Normandy in the hours leading up to D-Day.
