Temtem Overview

Temtem is a massively multiplayer creature collection RPG heavily inspired by the Pokemon series. Explore the Airborne Archipelago, filled with hundreds of quirky creatures known as Temtems. Catch, train, and battle Temtems against AI opponents and rival players from across the world! Temtem includes a co-op friendly story mode where players must thwart the nefarious plans of Clan Belsoto. While the core gameplay in Temtem is similar to Pokemon, it varies in a few key ways. Most notably the game's combat has no RNG (so no accuracy, critical chance, etc) and is designed to be competitive.

Temtem Key Features:

  • Full Fledged Story Campaign - Journey across six fully fleshed out regions while taming new Temtems and fighting against the evil Clan Belsoto.
  • Co-op Gameplay - Partner with a friend and progress through the game's story together!
  • Dynamic Online World - Join other Temtem trainers from around the world and explore the Airborne Archipelago together in massively multiplayer online world!
  • Player Housing & Character Customization - Buy and customize your own home with furniture, vivid colors, and invite friends over for a party! Earn new cosmetics and clothes with which to create a unique character!
  • Competitive Battles - Take part in competitive, ranked ladder matches that involves a pick/ban phase. Do you have what it takes to be an elite Temtem trainer?
  • No RNG - Temtem features no RNG (no accuracy, critical hit chance, etc) and is designed to be a competitive game.

Development History / Background:

Development on Temtem began in the summer of 2017 and will be the 5th game by studio Crema, based in Madrid, Spain. Crema has been making games for 6 years prior to the reveal of Temtem. Their previous titles include the mobile games Instant Buttons, Oh My Goat, Ridiculous Triathlon, and Immortal Redneck. While Crema's previous titles were self-funded, the studio chose to launch a Kickstarter campaign for Temtem to foster a closer connection with the community during development. The Kickstarter campaign quickly reached and surpassed Crema's modest $70,000 ask. An ambitious timeline places Temtem's first Alpha test within 6 months of the Kickstarter campaign and a full release within 2 years.
