EVE Valkyrie Overview
Like the crowdfunded Star Citizen, EVE Valkyrie promises to take players into the cockpit of a spaceship to take part in intense dogfights. It will be the third game set in the EVE universe after the MMORPG EVE Online and the FPS Dust 514. Originally conceived as a tech demo, EVE Valkyrie has evolved into a full feature game that will be available on multiple VR (virtual reality) platforms. It is among the first games designed for VR headsets. Features include a large variety of ships, weapons, and parts, along with stunning visuals.

Development History / Background:
What would eventually become EVE Valkyrie originally started as a tech demo titled EVE-VR in 2012 after CCP developers backed the Kickstarter campaign of the Oculus Rift. EVE-VR made its first major appearance at E3 2013 and won a number of media awards. In August of the same year, CCP used the Gamescom conference to announce EVE Valkyrie as a standalone, full-fledged game. In 2014, CCP Games announced that they would also support Sony's Project Morpheus VR headset, thus bringing EVE Valkyrie to the PlayStation 4 console. EVE Valkyrie released for Oculus on March 28, 2016.
