Osiris: New Dawn Overview

Osiris: New Dawn is an upcoming space survival adventure game with MMO elements where players crash land on a hostile alien planet populated with vicious monsters and a wealth of natural resources. Inspired by science fiction films such as The Martian and Prometheus, the game offers an epic sci-fi game experience that recreates the atmosphere of film, including ferocious Alien-like monsters that come out at night and the struggles of potato farming on a distant planet. Craft an outpost and then systematically expand your reach to grow food, build vehicles, and create droids and mechs to help you as you explore into the reaches of the alien system. The game offers solo and multiplayer gameplay, including solo exploration and resource gathering, and multiplayer colonies that fight for dominance over land and resources. Encounter a variety of foes that can be tamed to help in your search for lost human expeditions and resources to help you establish your foothold on the worlds.

Development History / Background:

Osiris: New Dawn is developed and published by Fenix Fire, an indie developer founded in 2010 by a husband and wife team who have both been professional game developers since 2000. Their other titles include Source and Roboto, as well as jointly-developed licensed games with other local developers. Osiris was announced on August 19, 2016 in anticipation for its gameplay reveal at PAX 2016. Its developers stated that the game was created without the influence of other games, hoping to channel the atmosphere of high-budget sci-fi films, building the gameplay around that experience. The game is set to release on Steam Early Access on September 28, 2016, with a release coming in the future for the PC, Xbox One, and PS4 platforms.
